External Advisory Board
External Advisory Board (EAB) members have experience fostering diversity, equity and inclusion in STEM disciplines; identifying, recruiting and retaining a diverse faculty; encouraging male advocacy; and managing gender equity and ADVANCE initiatives. They liaison with Dr. Stephanie G. Adams, principal investigator of ASPIRE2.
The role of the EAB is to:
- Review, monitor and offer suggestions as the ASPIRE2 project progresses.
- Review results.
- Assess the ASPIRE2 project’s effectiveness and provide feedback.
The EAB will meet annually with the Implementation Teams (IPTs), the Evaluation Team (ET) and the Internal Steering Committee (ISC). Greater reliance on different advisory board members will occur during the various points in the project when each member’s expertise is most appropriate. The EAB will meet virtually in years one and three and in person in year two. Their unique perspectives will be invaluable to this work.
