Dr. Spiro leads the day-to-day activities of ASPIRE2. As vice provost at UT Dallas, he interfaces between the Office of the Provost and faculty search committees. Spiro is also a member of several working groups of campus stakeholders who have recently made recommendations around issues of faculty recruitment, mentoring, retention and advancement. Spiro’s duties specific to ASPIRE2 include working with the climate, recruitment and retention teams as they design and implement their initiatives. He supervises the project coordinator, disseminates information on ASPIRE2 activities across campus, manages the ASPIRE2 liaisons, and coordinates new faculty onboarding. Spiro meets with the ASPIRE2 liaisons to share information, help answer questions posed by candidates, stay current on policy updates and share best practices.

Ms. Emeary provides administrative support, develops and maintains the ASPIRE2 project website, schedules and produces minutes of all meetings, manages all project communications, assists in convening all boards and committees, manages files and documents associated with ASPIRE2 and maintains a database to keep track of all required training. She assists in faculty recruitment, hiring and onboarding by serving as an additional resource for candidates and new hires.
