Adapting Successful Practices to foster an Inclusive, Respectful and Equitable Environment (ASPIRE2) will systematically transform UT Dallas — one of the fastest-growing public doctoral universities in the United States — in ways that will expand and enrich the diversity of its faculty in STEM fields and beyond.

ASPIRE2 is an institutional transformation initiative at The University of Texas at Dallas created through the National Science Foundation (NSF) ADVANCE (Organizational Change for Gender Equity in STEM Academic Professions) program.

Retention and Advancement

ASPIRE2 adapts successful activities and lessons learned from UT Dallas and current and former ADVANCE institutional transformation projects to promote a more inclusive campus climate and to recruit more women and women of color in STEM fields. “Women of color” in ASPIRE2 includes women from NSF-defined underrepresented minority groups: Blacks or African Americans, Hispanics or Latinos and American Indians or Alaska Natives, as well as other nonwhite women.
